What Do Brides Need to Know The Day Of?

The day is officially here! You made it & we are so proud of you! Now, here are some tips to ease your mind and heart during such a special day while keeping your wedding gown looking absolutely perfect. 


  • Fuel yourself! It’s all too easy to forget to eat something and keep yourself hydrated when you’ve got a million things going on but take care of yourself, especially on this day when you’re going to want to be 100% present! 

  • Have a steamer at the ready! This will be essential for getting out any last minute wrinkles that pop up morning-of on your dress or on your bridal party’s dresses.

  • Have a game plan for your bustle! The person helping to bustle your dress should know this in advance and should practice actually doing the bustle ideally at least one time in the morning! This way, when it’s game time, it’s quick and easy. 

  • Triple-check all undergarments. Make sure tags are removed, hanger straps are tucked in and/or not visible and nothing is showing! Skin tone, seamless anything is your best bet. 

  • Put your phone away and forget about it! Consider giving it to someone you trust so you're not distracted. Your photographer will capture everything.

  • If your gown is made out of organza: BRING STATIC SPRAY! Trust us, you’ll be glad you have it. 

  • Double-check all your accessories or ask one of your besties to keep track of them! Make sure you have...

    • Shoes

    • Earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces, etc.

    • Keep everything together in your garment bag so nothing gets lost

    • Safety pins

    • Needle and white thread

    • Scissors 

    • Shout wipes for stain removal

    • Double sided fashion tape 

  • Toiletry must haves:

    • Perfume

    • Deodorant 

    • Period products 

    • Headache and/or stomachache reliever 

    • Anything else you might need

  • Pause for private moments with your partner. Steal away for just 5 minutes during cocktail hour or dinner to reconnect. The day goes by SO fast!

  • Most importantly...take a moment here and there for yourself throughout the day to take everything in. This is your day celebrating your love, enjoy every second of it!
