Giving Back

Being a local business means a lot to us...

Being a local business doesn't just mean we're home grown - it means that we have a unique opportunity to give back to Milwaukee, a city that we really love. Each year, the Miss Ruby Team gets active in the community through group charity efforts. We see serving our community as the best way of saying "Thank You" for all that this city has done for us.

The Guest House Milwaukee

December 2016

Our December Staff Meeting is always reserved for helping others. This year, we partnered with The Guest House, an amazing Milwaukee shelter that provides housing, education, and other valuable services to those who seek to transform their lives. By providing simple gifts (like jeans, shoes, and watches), we were able to lend a hand to the residents seeking to become independent & make a positive change.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night

October 2016

We were so humbled to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society gear up for their 2016 Light the Night Walk. Our team assembled hundreds of lanterns that would honor survivors and their family members. Hearing all of the stories, meeting the survivors, and seeing guests light up the night was an incredible experience for our team!

Dinner at Kathy's House

April 2016

Kathy's House is a non-profit hospitality house founded in memory of a woman named Kathy Kuttner Vogel, who lost her battle with lymphoma in 2000. Supported only by donations, Kathy's House provides lodging and support to patients, caregivers, and family members who travel to Milwaukee-area hospitals from at least 50-miles from their home for medical care. Our volunteer role was to cook and prepare a meal for the house residents. It was a great way for us to work together as a team and give back to those in need.
