Something we as Miss Ruby stylists are constantly sharing with our brides is that there’s no one size fits all approach to shopping. Our hope is that this post can give you guidance on how to approach your Miss Ruby experience in a way that gives you an authentic, fun and stress-free “yes” moment!
Nervous, overwhelmed and unsure? - Start with a Pre-Appointment Consultation!
If you’re feeling some anxiousness around shopping, know that it’s totally normal to feel that way! Coming in for a complimentary Pre-Appointment Consultation on a weekday is the best way to soothe those nerves! These one-hour appointments allow you to familiarize yourself with our space, inventory, and staff so that when you come back in for your full bridal experience you feel confident, educated on what to expect, and excited that you’re going to have the special moment you’ve been dreaming of. Consultations are especially a good option if you’re the kind of bride who doesn’t love being the center of attention and wants to try on a couple of dresses before coming in with your full crew to get the nerves out!
Just want to get a feel for everything & be a little extra prepared? - An Open House
is PERFECT!
We also host a few Open Houses a year if you’re wanting all of the benefits of a consultation but prefer a more social, group setting with other engaged brides! Our team of expert stylists are available during Open Houses to answer all of the questions you have and point you to designers that we know are going to excite you based on your style! This is an especially great option for brides who really want to see & feel all of the details and fabrics to get direction on what you’re loving ahead of trying things on. Because our Open Houses can be quite busy, we’re not able to accommodate stepping into gowns during these events. So, if that part is most important to you, we recommend booking a consultation to prepare instead! We’ll be hosting our next Open House event on Wednesday, 9/16/26 from 4-7pm! RSVP here.

If you’re feeling ready to dive right into shopping, go ahead and book your bridal experience! Having the extra prep is not something that speaks to everyone so trust your gut on what feels right for you! The dress shopping process is super intuitive so after the first handful of gowns, we’ll have enough direction from you to pull gowns that are all giving you of the amazing feelings you want to have on your wedding day! So many Miss Ruby brides find their dress in their very first appointment with us because it truly can be so easy and stress free with the right stylist in your corner!
